runpik FAQs

Q: What is runpik?

A: Runpik is a marketplace that allows spectators to sell their photos to runners .

Q: Who can upload pictures?

A: Anybody! It’s simple, just set up a runpik account and share your action shots.

Q: How much are photos?

A: Runners pay $5 for the photos. Spectators receive $4 for each photo sold.

Q: Are there any restrictions?

A: The only requirement is that the runner’s bib number is fully visible in the photo. Runners search by their bib number, so if you can’t see it in the photo, they can’t find it afterwards.

We do have a few recommendations to help you sell more photos. Runners like cool photos. Sharp action shots that clearly feature one runner are more likely to sell than general photos of a big group.

Q: How do spectators get paid?

A: You have two options. If you want to get paid via paypal included your paypad ID when you register and your earnings will be automatically deposited to your account when a runner buys your pictures. Alternatively, you can receive lump sum payments directly from runpik after the photo sales are over. This typically takes 3-4 weeks to ensure all sales have come through.

Q: What’s a paypad ID?

A: It is the account ID for your paypal account.
